Rates & Fees Notice
Important information about how we discuss rates and fees on this website.
Why we do not publish a rate table
Northlark Money Guides is a financial education and consultation support service. We are not a licensed lender or financial institution, and we do not offer financial products directly. For this reason, we do not publish specific interest rates, APRs, or fee schedules.
Any rates referenced in our educational guides are simplified, illustrative examples intended to demonstrate how calculations work — not current offers, commitments, or averages.
Where to find current rates
For current rates on financial products, we recommend:
- Contacting licensed banks, credit unions, or lenders directly
- Using comparison tools on sites such as the CFPB's consumer tools at consumerfinance.gov
- Working with a licensed mortgage broker or financial advisor for personalized rate comparisons
Rate disclosure for illustrative examples
Where our guides use numbers to illustrate concepts — for example, showing how a 5% APR differs from a 7% APR over a loan term — those numbers are chosen for mathematical clarity only. They do not represent rates available from any specific institution and should not be used as a benchmark for evaluating real offers.
